The Summer Staff Experience
Working with North City Church provides Summer Staff with a wonderful opportunity to further develop their faith and understanding of church organization, structure and function.
The Summer Staff experience often results in employees stating they have grown tremendously over the summer, both as followers of Christ and as responsible teammates and leaders. Many skills obtained through the Summer Staff working experience serve to equip and prepare individuals for future employment and ministry opportunities.

Summer Staff employment at North City Church is made possible through the Canada Summer Jobs government grant program. Employment is available to approved applicants only between the ages of 15-30 years old.
Ideal Summer Staff employees are responsible, hardworking and passionate individuals who are excel at working in a fast-paced, team environment, with high energy, great work ethic and the ability to multi-task and adapt.

Eligibility
Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
The pay rate for a Summer Staff is $17.70/ hour, with a commitment of 35 hours per week for 8 weeks, starting at the end of June.
Job Description
Sunday Morning Responsibilities - 7:30am to 1:30pm | 377 Woodbridge Ave., Woodbridge
Summer staff will be scheduled in various areas based on need, skill set and the supervisor’s discretion.
Responsibilities may include:
All Summer Staff will assist with Setup & Tear Down each Sunday.
Regular In-Office Hours - 9:00am to 4:30pm, Tuesday to Friday | 67 Rodinea Rd, Maple

In addition to regular work hours, there are mandatory special events that all summer staff members are required to work.

In addition to mandatory events, there will be opportunities for summer staff to work additional hours at smaller events throughout the summer. These events include, but are not limited to:

Enhanced focus on Community events planning, preparation, activities & initiatives as advised by the Staff Supervisor & Associate Pastor (Lindsay Fitch)
Enhanced focus on Children’s ministry/events, activities & initiatives as advised by the Staff Supervisor & Kids Pastor (Robin Cleugh)
Enhanced focus on Youth ministry/events, activities & initiatives as advised by the Staff Supervisor & Youth Pastor (Heather Schwindt)
Enhanced focus on photo, video, web, graphics, production elements as advised by the Staff Supervisor & Creative Production Pastor (Jackie Man)
Provides leadership to most aspects of the Summer Staff team, including but not limited to: tasks, responsibilities, schedule, productivity, safety and communication as directed by the Associate Pastor (Lindsay Fitch).
